Questions
Good to know
For you or a family member
Does this replace speech and language therapy?
No. Resolve gives you structured practice to do at home. It works best alongside therapy, or while you wait for it. If you don't have a therapist, your GP or doctor can refer you.
Get medical help first if: speech, swallowing or your face changes suddenly (call emergency services straight away, as this can be a sign of a stroke), or your voice has been hoarse for more than 3 weeks, especially if you smoke, have a sore throat, pain or swallowing difficulty. Hoarseness needs a check by a doctor before voice exercises.
Who made Resolve?
Resolve is designed by a qualified speech and language therapist with experience in adult rehabilitation and telehealth. Every programme is built on evidence-based therapy approaches used in clinic.
Can I use it on my own?
Yes. Each programme explains what to do step by step, so you can practise on your own or with a family member. If you have a therapist, show them what you're working on so they can tailor it to you.
What do I need to use it?
Just a computer, tablet or phone with internet. There's nothing to download.
Can I cancel?
Yes, you can cancel any time from your account.
For speech and language therapists
Where is patient information kept?
Only in your browser, on your device. Nothing you enter about patients is sent to Resolve, and we can't see it. You (or your employer) are the data controller, so follow your service's policies. Use initials or a code, record consent and capacity in the tool, and back up regularly.
Can I use it by telehealth?
Yes. The assessments and goal brainstorm have a patient screen you can share on a video call, while you keep the scoring and notes on your side.
Are the assessments standardised?
No. They're informal clinical assessments that support, and don't replace, your clinical judgement. Use standardised tests where you need norms.
Do you offer team or hospital licences?
Not yet. Join the waitlist and we'll let you know when they're ready.
